Various news of Apple

After getting to update my Podcast Technology Buzz in a while, I heard this news of Norway actually banning iTunes. Copyright and free use issues. Wonder who will be the victor in the suit? I think in the entire world, America is the one with the strictest copyright issues.

Still it is Apple, so that’s got to be interesting. Also this following issue definitely can prove to me that Apple thinks of themselves as the best thing since sliced bread… business news of comparing currency value to the price of one 2GB Nano. I mentioned this issue yesterday to my friends and Mina, actually said that this issue is similar to fast food chain McDonald’s currency count…

Book overdue for 47 years.

Found this very interesting article …. talking about a man with a very late book.. he paid the late fee in hundreds…..an article that made me think of a friend who doesn’t go to libraries, so I’m trying to get my friends to go to the nearest one, irregardless of any fines they may have racked up… oh…. Peter!

Serendipity

Well as I was trying to sort through my 1000+ email inbox, I found this article regarding a serendipity experience, now if you think of that word, you would probably think of the resturant, book or movie. But to me, I think of a presentation I saw last semester of a fellow librarian classmate.

I shall have to go and speak with her if I can next semester and share this link with her. Her presentation was on patrons going to libraries to have a serendipidious experience in roaming the shelves to find something to read. I think this might be a good article, if she hasn’t read this article yet already. 

Now what this article broadly examines is how technology have encompass the simple joys of just discovering, as it very often directs the person to a source directly without wasting his time to just discover…still an interesthing read if you have nothing else better to do.

Blogging and more blogging.

Recently I’ve taken to reading this blog…. and it’s a blog about blogging tips. Similar to writing for an appreciation factor. I take blogging as a way to get more people to know what I’m into and on a superficial level, I would like to also boost my ego, so I did a traffic check-up for myself at Alexa and the results were not good. So I pledge to try and visit other blogs and to try in making comments so that I can get myself known.

One Piece: Episode 294

Yatta!!!!! I’m so happy, we’re getting back to the regular scheduled programming. So the past two episode (291-292) were quite moot, since there was a lot of filers going on. As for this episode.. or rather past episode (290)…. we last saw Chopper doing something really stupid… like take over three rumbleballs when Doctorina told him never to do that… yes to win his battle… so in this episode you see him transformed into an absolute monster… and squash the pink hair opera waving CP9 freak. In the process though, he threw Franky over the ledge and onto the ground below. He started to climb the Tower of Justice like any King Kong. I’m sooo worried for him….!!!!! He’s one of my favorite characters in this series other than Luffy, Zoro, Smoker, Karu, Shanks, Miss. Golden Week… …. you get the point…. I happen to love a lot of characters in this series.

Nodame Cantabile: Episode 2

Let’s see this episode began similarly with Episode, with the introduction of Mine-kun. Like Chiaki-senpai..he criticizes others by the insult of “so run of the mill…” Unlike Chiaki’s “they all suck.” I never thought that would be the introduction of Mine-kun so I was tickled.

In the background of the anime as you saw Mine-kun walked by, you can see Nodame stealing lunch from her classmates. I don’t know where I read it, but I read another summary of Nodame stealing lunch from friends…. but I don’t think I see evidence of this from either the anime or the drama as the class mates being good friends for Nodame, (have to confirm it with the manga then) when Nodame seems to be by herself all the time.

Even still.. she starts to freeload in food from Chiaki-sempai.. that part when she tried to bring a burnt fish to Chiaki as supper is mad funny, his reaction being.. are you trying to kill me…

Heartwarming story…

As I’m doing my current work assignment, found this really nice story online as a medical study.  I imagine it was fair for Mr. A, I wish I knew that there was some form of study to alleviate the suffering of those with this mental illness.  

Bartender: Episode 9

Watching this episode and then comparing it with the rest of the episodes in this series. I have to say this is the saddest one. This only is an episode that shows the poginent state of being and living.  

I’ve been trying to get my friends in watching this series, but I don’t think they are taking to the idea. Oh well…..
