Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori- Episodes 8 to 10
Yup… just as I hope… more translated episodes are coming out.. quite happy. Actually quite behind the raw episodes that are released. Still… just keeping up with something I really enjoy. Read more…
Bartender: Episode 10
Hmmm.. no matter how much I try to get my friends into this series…. apparently no one is really biting. Oh well I think it depends on taste then. This episode was about Christmas, and while the holiday has past… a few months ago…. finally got to see this episode.. so quite happy about that. This episode was quite funny and unexpected… I never thought I’ll see characters face fault, but they did in this episode.. hehe… the alcohol for this episode is Black Velvet, which is champagne and beer mixed together. Hmm.. even if alcohol is very overrated by this anime, I like it as I do with other anime I generally enjoy to watch, character based stories. Very much like the way I watch this Japanese drama.
Memory Lane walking – Doraemon to Hattori-kun
Found this question the other day and no this is not anything about Pokemon or Digimon…this is an old anime series I knew about when I was growing up and then as I researched a little bit into it… I thought about an even older anime.. Ninja Hattori-kun.
Something I watched when I was very young. I barely see any distribution of it now…although I know at Bookoff there is, (last time I checked)…copies of VHS’s there. Still a very quick walk down down memory lane. Ninja Hattori-kun was about a ninja with his sister and dog live with a family training and helping out the family’s son on his problems. Very similar to Doremon’s plot actually, the art wasn’t much to look at, but the inventions or moves interesting. I loved it when the dog…got into a fight with the villain’s cat and won. Still the villain’s cat which is a ninja cat developed a static electricity move to get revenge. The dog actually for the most part looks like a round blanket thing.
By no means.. fan art praise.
Well this is a random post… now as something I do online. I collect fanart… I love to browse deviant art…. the only bad thing is that I can’t draw at all… have no artistic talent.. still I appreciate good funny art and I found this image.

This is an fan image from the anime of Inu-Yasha. Now I don’t like Inu-Yasha as much as I do with Ranma 1/2.. still this picture is funny in a cute way…. definitely reminds me that I have to do this to Tommy soon.. give him a bath.
Nodame Cantabile: Episode 4
They sure are releasing the subbed episodes quite fast. Got to meet Maestro Stressman.. not very different from the drama.
Here’s a link for the fourth episode to download.
Manga Propoganda
Over this weekend on one of my feeds I noticed this news update. I am talking about the Propaganda that the Japanese released with their Prince Pickles mascot is definitely much to think about.
After World War 2, one of the results was that Japan would not have a military at all and it has been for a long time, apparently now the Japanese can have the military again. So they’ve came up with this cutesy character… and apparently people are objecting to it.. but then what about the Olympic mascots that China is coming up with then.. what about the various mascots like the American eagle? This is a silly thing to get pissed off about.
Even if there’s much to be pissed off about.. then what about Germany and their wartime atrocities or Italy? This is a double standard..
Article on why Japanaese and American games are different and my perspectives.
A while ago, I noticed in one of Joystiq’s entries this article. From there I read this larger feature and while it is a good attempt to write the differences, I agree and disagree with a few points he makes.
One is as he mentions Japanese people feeling motion sickness with games such as Grand Theft Auto, which is an American game. I would have to ask what about Mario 64? That game is downright tilting on watching a 3-D Mario race around. I definitely feel queasy with that game.
I agree with the fact that mentioned save spots as part of the game for Japanese whereas in American games you can save everywhere.
While I don’t play as much video games as my friends do, I still enjoy the concept of playing. I wished the writer didn’t get that general and put so many broad terms there, such as American hunting. Ugh.. I saw a coyote skin hat the other day and I nearly wanted to cry.
Baoh
Baoh is an OVA that was released in 1989. I watched the OVA when I was six or seven, and have acquired the Chinese and Japanese version since then. There is a manga of this work, but unfortunately I had never watched it…so I can’t say much about it.
Now what had always stood out in my mind of this anime, other than the very short plot was the gore and many blood scenes in this anime. Definitely not something for small children to watch, but even with that warning, there is the story of two orphans, a teenager and a girl.
