Heavenly Forest

Well… this is a very pleasant surprise… very unexpected. I was randomly downloading Japanese movies today and found this movie. The international title is Heavenly Forest, but the translation for the original name is Tada Kimi wo ai shiteru. The movie was released last year and stars Miyazaki Aoi from Nana the movie. Tamaki Hiroshi from Nodame Cantabie live action.

Let’s see the outline of the movie is this.

Synopsis: The story is about a photographer called Makoto (Tamaki Hiroshi), who travels to New York during Christmas to look for his best friend, Shizuru (Miyazaki Aoi). The two first met when Makoto attended his university entrance ceremony. Due to his inferiority complex, Makoto tends to shy away from other people but Shizuru managed to make him open up to her. Because of their friendship, Shizuru also ended up taking an interest in photography and the two often went to a forest to take pictures. Shizuru wants nothing else but to be by Makoto’s side so when he started liking another girl called Miyuki (Kuroki Meisa), Shizuru decided that she too will like Miyuki and becomes her friend. One day, Makoto asked Shizuru what present she’d like to receive for her birthday. Shizuru, who wanted to enter a photography competition, had an idea to take a picture of the two of them kissing in a forest. Makoto agreed to do this and the two kissed for the very first time. Ever since that day, however, Shizuru disappears from Makoto’s life.

The plot for this movie is definitely a dramatic romance. However the music is really nice so I would like to get the OST. What also brings a smile to my face is the fact that this movie was filmed in New York City and a bit in Japan. The cinematography is really good.. so this movie seems very artsy. I don’t want to spoil more about this movie, so I’m leaving you with some screencaps.

Was randomly browsing for some movie to watch and found this movie “Heavenly Forest”. Great Movie. Background music, screenplay, direction cast members etc all collided to form a great master piece. The ending was way different than what i imagined. Although the movie ended little bit sad, I really enjoyed watching this movie. The movie can be downloaded from the link below. http://idols-unlimited.com/heavenly-forest

nice! sad…yet beautiful. hiroshi tamaki has got to be one of the best Japanese actors i’ve ever seen (well, i haven’t seen a lot of J-actors but he’s really one heck of a good one). not to mention gorgeous. haha. aoi miyazaki is really pretty, as well as the actress who played miyuki. =)

Thanks for your comment. I was very surprised by Hiroshi Tamaki’s versatility. I saw him recently in Remote and that was such a different role for him. He played a bumbling fiance. Did you see Aoi Miyazaki in Nana? That’s where I first saw her.

Hmm the actress who played Miyuki, her name is Meisa Kuroki and she was in Onaji tsuki wo miteiru and other dramas as supporting roles. Hmm.. very cool personality type.
