Rumiko Takehashi as Japanese version of J.K. Rowling

Rumiko Takehashi is proclaimed as the Japanese J.K. Rowling in the latest Library Journal (Issue 05/15/07) mentions it along with a small feature of graphic novels, they still don’t have much mangas, but lump everything together – Western comics and satire comic.

Still they compared Takehashi to Rowling, so I am quite glad. I like Takehashi for two reasons one the ever famous gender bending anime Ranma 1/2 and two a lesser known, but still sweet manga Fire Tripper.
