Cartoon Network and Del Rey forms partnership

September 30, 2008 Leave a comment

Probably several days late or so, but I recieved this press release.. and figure I’ll post it here.

Cable chanel Cartoon Network with publishing house Del Rey forms a partner ship to release a manga version of a show that is airing, that is:Bakugan Battle Brawlers: The Battle Begins. This will come out in December 2008, and the second volume is slated to be released March 2009. Though the economy is really poor, and the recent ending of Toonami, would this Ani-Manga title be the starting point of Cartoon Network advancing into the likes of publishing?

NYAF- Day 2-3

September 29, 2008 3 comments

Well trying to cram as much text here as possible. I take lots of notes, and as a former reporter from my college paper, I am pretty back log in cleaning up photos from the event, shows how much I am more of a writer, than I am an picture fixer. I will provide links to the AnimeJutsu galleries as soon as I finish and upload those pictures. Warning in advance, that I will be jumping all over the place. This post is a complete recap now that the con is over and done with. Read more…

NYAF: Day 1

September 27, 2008 Leave a comment

Recapping now. Well this is a prep work for my con report for JLHLS, when the con is over. That will be a more professional reporting style writing… this entry is for a personal emotion feel, and as a fan girl to just gush over some things – that would be rude. Read more…

Chi’s Sweet Home – First Four Japanese Episodes Free

September 10, 2008 Leave a comment

Okay, this might be late news for all the ANN blog readers, but I found out about this news… well today.

First four episodes about wandering kitten streamed online until December 3

The Animate.tv website is streaming the first four three-minute episodes of Chi’s Sweet Home anime for free in Japanese. (In the linked page, select the orange button for each episode. Recent versions of Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player are required for digital rights management.) The anime adapts Kanata Konami‘s manga about a kitten who gets separated from her mother and siblings, and then gets adopted by a new human family.

Well I watched 78 episodes of this so far, and have brought over $60 worth of merchandise, but this series is so cute..that I have to say it rocks!

NYAF 2008 panels..

September 10, 2008 Leave a comment

Oh there is actual panels listed now regarding about NY Anime Festival, if anyone is going. Here‘s also a handy grid.

What I am listing below are panels that I am interested in going. Unfortunately I’ll only make it to NYAF on full days for Friday and Sunday and Saturdays after 5pm. So these are panels I am interested in. On a side note… I really would love to go to the Anime Blogging panel on Saturday, but have a class that I am taking from 10am to 4pm, hence my lateness in attending NYAF. So if there are any anime bloggers, who are attending this, panel at NYAF…any information if any? Read more…

Proper personal closure to Otakon 2008

September 9, 2008 Leave a comment

All right, I realize I completely forgot about putting a perspective of Otakon here as I wrote in previous Otakon 2008 posts. Well in a month being overdue and with Fall semester underway and my posts on NYAF, why beat the dead horse of Otakon 2008? Well because I am feeling like jumping on the bandwagon and doing a final personal perspective post for Otakon 2008 – so there.

I got lazy because, one I was so wiped out by the con and two I wrote a two-part con report for JLHLS – which a friend called it dry and so I was feeling kinda bad. Now as a recap and as a memory cap, I am writing here – one month late. I attended the convention as press, so my philosophy was that if I were to write a report – have to report facts. I didn’t want to introduce emotion to things like that. Read more…
