Samples to entice..
All right, have you seen the samples at the super market, this blog entry is about the Japanese perspective, of ensuring, the customer will purchase the product, now isn’t that neat? I think so. I read this, and was thinking – how cool is that. Probably will lose money for the producer, but to develop loyal customers like that. Going above and beyond a food sample. While that is funny, it should most likely guilt people into purchasing something.

If they offer it for a limited time only, then I think it would create a demand and buzz for the product. If they offered it all the time, then the customer would view it as nothing special.
Remember the whole frenzy with KFC? HA! Gave KFC recognition like crazy. But if they offered it everyday, which they can’t afford, it would be nothing special to the customer.
It’ll be like getting water with your meal at a restaurant.
The elderly women who prep and hand out samples at my local (US) food store always get me … not that it’s entirely a guilt trip, but they can be really cute. ^^
@Karen.. yep.. yep. I remember with KFC.. so supply and demand – economics..
@Ryan That sounds neat. They never really do food samples where I live, but I remember seeing it at Mitsuwa or at Walmart. It was pretty neat.
